Blooms on the Hill
Blooms on the Hill is a flower farm situated in the hills of Budgeree in Central Gippsland. I am located 15 minutes east of the small township of Boolarra and approximately 25 minutes south of Churchill. New to commercial flower growing, I am excited to bring an abundance of fresh, locally grown blooms to the region. Specialising in dahlias, I also grow a range of annuals and perennials, including cosmos, zinnias, snapdragons, ranunculus, tulips, daffodils, sweet peas, stock, strawflowers, asters, roses, chrysanthemums....just to name a few.
The farm is 175 acres of hill country where my husband and I run mostly sheep and cattle. As well as flowers, I am also passionate about agriculture, photography and my Speckle Park cattle. I have a degree in writing and photography, a Certificate II and Diploma in Agriculture, and also studied floristry at floral art school.
My blooms are available for pickup from the farm, from various farmer's markets and also via local delivery. A flower subscription service is available during the blooming season, which is perfect as a gift, for small businesses and offices (ie. hairdressers, cafes, reception areas etc), as well as for you in your home. Who wouldn't want a regular supply of fresh seasonal flowers to brighten their home or workplace? Seasonal 'Buckets of Blooms' are also available if you wish to purchase a mix of flowers to arrange at home yourself.
I also run a range of fun workshops based around cut flower gardening, growing, harvesting and arranging with dahlias, bouquet making and creating your own wedding flowers. Workshops will also be available for homeschool groups.
